Teej (also Haritalika Teej) is one of Nepal’s most celebrated women-centric Hindu festivals. Spanning three to four days, it honors Goddess Parvati’s devotion to Lord Shiva and symbolizes the devotion, resilience, and collective spirit of women across the country.
When is it Held?
Celebrated on the third day after the new moon in the month of Bhadra (mid-August to mid-September), Teej timing varies each year according to the lunar calendar.
